Yet Another Day

I have now spent another quite comfortable and nice day of life. What disturbs me is that not far from here, people are fighting for their lives and freedom. 

I wonder how those with power to do something about are feeling? Biden? Macron? Johnson?

Ytterligare en dag

Har nu tillbringat ytterligare en ganska bekväm och trevlig dag av livet. Det är dock störande att inte så långt härifrån kämpar folk för livet och friheten.

Undrar hur de som verkligen kan påverka mår? Biden? Macron? Johnson?

20 June, Monday, Day 812

When Cheapness Rules

Government and the opposition is fighting about another billion Cronas to Ukraine. A billion is less than a tenth of a percent of the state budget. Government could with no problems allocate ten billions to Ukrainian refugees. I think that the Ukrainians would have been happier if we had given them nine billions and allocated one billion for the refugees. 

Government seems to lack understanding for the fact that the war in Ukraine decides our future for many years ahead. 

Biden

Media talks ablout Biden's retirement. His retirement is most likely important if Western civilisation is going to survive for yet a while. The Democrats need to find a Roosevelt type of person.

När snålheten bedrar visheten

Regeringen och oppositionen strider om ytterligare en miljard till Ukraina. En miljard är mindre än en promille av statsbudgeten. Regeringen kunde lätt avsätta tio miljarder till flyktingar till Ukraina. Jag tror att man hade varit gladare i Ukraina om man fått nio miljarder och vi hade tagit hand om flyktingarna för en miljard. 

Regeringen verkar sakna känsla för att kriget i Ukraina avgör vår framtid under ett stort antal år framåt. 

Biden

Media talar om Bidens pensionering. Denna pensionering är sannolikt viktig om den västerländska civilisationen ska överleva ett tag till. Demokraterna behöver hitta en Rooselvelt-typ.

Bad Forecast

According to Text-TV, the Commander of the British Army says that it is high time for them to prepare for war in Europe. Whether, we want it or not, Sweden will be a part of such a war. Therefore we should leave the snail pace of our arming up. 

Ironically, the likelyhood of war decreases the more we prepare, and vice versa,

Dålig progos

Enligt Text-TV säger den brittiske arméchefen att det nu är hög tid för den brittiska armén att förbereda för ett krig i Europa. Sverige kommer, varesig vi vill eller inte, att dras in i ett sådant krig. Därför borde vi gå ifrån snigeltakten i upprustningen. 

Ironiskt nog så blir sannolikheten för krig mindre ju bättre vi förbereder oss, och tvärt om.

Not Good

According to Text-TV, Minister of Finance Damberg talks about extra taxes to finance the increase in defense spending. Not good. In a budget of 1,200 billion Crowns, there is of course a lot that could be cut instead.

Damberg talar enligt Text-TV om att finansiera upprustningen av försvaret med en ny skatt. Inte bra. Det finns naturligtvis mycket att spara på i en statsbudget på 1 200 miljarder.

Biden

I am now worrying about the close future. Several dictators can see the the time of the Biden administration as an oppartunity too good to miss. 

PM Andersson

I am also worried that PM Andersson is selling off Swedish security interests to win ballots in Parliament. "Then it is dangerous for real." [A phrase recently used by the PM regarding an opposition move, which really was not that dangerous at all.]

Oroar mig en del för den närmsta framtiden. Många diktatorer kan tycka att Bidens presidentperiod är ett gyllene tillfälle, som man inte får missa. 

Andersson

Oroar mig också för att Andersson säljer av svenska säkerhetsintressen för att vinna inrikespolitiska frågor i riksdagen. "Då är det farligt på riktigt."

Serious

West seems to be vacilliating in the Ukrainian matter. It is time to mobilize serious support, or the 21st century will belong to Russia.

Väst verkar svikta i Ukrainafrågan. Det är dags att mobilisera ett ordentligt stöd, annars lär 2000-talet bli Rysslands sekel. 

15 June, Wednesday, Day 807

The West is Shaking

A general picture from the newsflow is that the West is getting shaky. It is claimed that Ukraine has too yield territory to get peace. The leaders of the West are kneeling to the violence. Macron seems to be the most inclined to cooperate with the violent. 

Weapons Embargo

A Swedish weapons embargo against Turkey seems to block our NATO-application. This embargo cannot make any difference in practice. It can only serve to make a number of individuals in Sweden feel better. Thus, the embargo is to say the least bad judgement.

Västvärlden sviktar

En generell bild från media är att västvärlden sviktar. Man talar om att Ukraina måste avstå territorium för att få fred. Västvärldens ledare kastar sig i gruset för våldet. Macron verkar var mest benägen att samarbeta med våldsmännen. 

Vapenembargo

Ett svenskt vapenembargo mot Turkiet verkar blockera vår NATO-ansökan. Det här vapenembargot kan inte spela någon som helst roll i praktiken. Det kan endast tjäna till att ge ett antal individer i Sverige en viss tillfredsställelse. Embargot är alltså minst sagt dåligt omdöme.
