The leaders of the Western World still seem to be dumbfounded. My guess is that no one knows what to do, and then it is difficult to be agile. The Western politicians are most likely Russia's greatest asset right now, closely followed by Western media that refuses to give Ukraine more than a marignal role in their reporting.

Västvärldens ledare verkar fortfarande vara handfallna. Min gissning är att ingen vet vad de ska göra, och då är det inte lätt att vara handlingskraftig. Västvärldens politiker är sannolikt Rysslands nu största tillgång, tätt följda av västerländska media som vägrar ge Ukraina mer än en marginell roll i rapporteringen.

The Production of Plastics

A majority does, most likely, agree with me on the idea that the EU has got their priorities wrong. History's verdict could be harsh. 

There is no way to reform the EU, it has to scuttled and European cooperation restarted on another basis.

De flesta håller nog med mig om att EU verkar ha helt fel fokus. Historiens dom kan bli hård.

EU kan inte reformeras. EU måste läggas ned och europeiskt samarbete måste återstartas på andra grunder.

There is much talk about defense industry and money, but little about what really matters, the number of trained personnell. 

The lack of a debate on defense matters leaves the field open to the dillettantes, with disastrous results. 

"The Civil War"

A Socialist victory in the 2026 election is now in the cards. With an anti-crime policy based on utopian thinikning, Sweden will rapidly approach the Haitian stadium. The forecast is not good.

Regeringen vill förenkla för försvarsindustin. (Tor Gasslander, Omni, Idag 12:01)

Det talas mycket om försvarindustri och pengar, men lite om det som räknas, antalet vapenutbildade personer. 

Bristen på en försvarsdebatt ger fritt spelrum för dillettanterna, med förödande resultat.

"Inbördeskriget"

En socialistisk valseger 2026 ligger nu i korten. Med en utopisk kriminalpolitk kommer Sverige att närma sig Haiti med stormsteg. Prognosen är inte bra.

Most Meaningless Statement Today

Kristersson (Swedish PM) says that Sweden is under IT-attack and that Russia, Iran and China are known to carry out this type of operations. (Olivia W Demred, Omni, Idag 11:58)

A totally meaningless statement. Sweden needs a PM that can talk about action and solutions instead of producing hot air. 

Myself, I think that we have to make sure that society can maintain basic functions without a working Internet. It is going to be a difficult process since a lot of people will have to start thinking.

Dagens meningslösaste uttalande

Kristersson konstaterar att Sverige IT-attackeras samt att Ryssland, Iran och Kina är kända för att ägna sig åt denna verksamhet. (Olivia W Demred, Omni, Idag 11:58)

Ett helt intetsägande uttalande. Sverige skulle behöva en statsminister som kunde tala om lösningar i stället för att producera varmluft. 

Själv tror jag att vi måste säkerställa att samhället kan uppehålla basfunktionerna även om Internet är utslaget. Det blir en jobbig process eftersom många måste tänka till.

Unfortunately, action is not the Western politican's strongest side. The fact that media focuses on Trump and the Mid East is not improving things. Ukraine seems to be slowly disappearing from the scene. Russia might be right - by not giving up, they will win in the end.

Tyvärr verkar konkret handling vara det som västvärldens politiker är sämst på. Laget blir inte bättre av att media är besatta av Trump och Mellanöstern varför Ukraina försvinner ur vårt medveteande. Ryssland kan ha rätt - det är bara att hålla ut så vinner man.

Ilse Henne says that US customs, high energy costs and cheap Chinese steel might kill the European steel industry. (Nyhetsbyrån Direkt, 9 juni, 10:31)

Probably quite correct. Ourselves, we can manage two of these factors, energy costs and, through customs, the price of Chinese steel.

If Europe falls, it is our own fault.

The Government wants to regulate explosives even more. (Olivia W Demred, Omni, Idag 09:49)

The Government always tries to make life more complicated for the criminals, most likely hoping that they will give up and look for an honest job 

Most people would understand that this will not work, life is just getting more complicated for the majority of the people and the criminals will find new ways. 

The only way to deal with crime is to put the criminals in jail. This, however, calls for the public sector doing real work. Today, our officials tries to comfortably solve the problems from their desks, and the results are about zero.

Ilse Henne menar att USA:s tullar, höga energikostnader och billigt kinesiskt stål riskerar att slå ut europeisk stålindustri. (Nyhetsbyrån Direkt, 9 juni, 10:31)

Förmodligen helt rätt. Vi kan själva påverka två av dessa faktorer, energipriserna och tullen på kinesiskt stål. Om i går under är det vårt eget fel.

Regeringen försöker hela tiden göra det svårare för brottslingarna, förmodligen i förhoppningen om att de ska ge upp och ta ett vanligt arbete. 

De flesta förstår att detta inte kommer att fungera, det blir bara krångliga för majoriteten och brottslingarna hittar nya vägar. Enda sättet att komma till rätta med brottsligenheten är att sätta brottslingarna i fängelse. Detta innebär då arbete för våra myndigheter, som nu föredrar att försöka lösa problemen från sina skrivbord, vilket är i stort sett resultatlöst.

Madness?

According to a NATO-source, 975 Russian soldiers are killed every day.  (Omni, på MSN, Idag18:47)

The figure could be more or less wrong, but many die. In this situation, everyone is picking on Trump, and the anger level is of historical proportions. No one seems to be very upset about Russia and Putin. Is this logical, or is it madness?

Siffran kan vara mer eller mindre fel, men många dör. I den här situationen hackar alla på Trump och ilskenivån befinner sig på historiska höjder. Ryssland och Putin tas med en axelryckning. Är detta logiskt eller galenskap?
