Great day today! No dead! First time since 13 March.
The Corona has definitively lost its grip on the news flow. I do not think that I am out of danger, but I am still asking myself if it is more dangerous now than on 1 or 15 April. The key question ought to be the relation between sick/contagious and those recovered. The way I understand it, we know just about nothing about this relation.
How smart are the Finns? - Part Two
Finland is seemingly on their way to leave face-masks (See yesterday). The value of these is still on my mind. Is it possible that the Swedish society refrain from something good for fear of being a bit dramatic?
I stubled across the following:

Traditional respiratory disease control measures are designed to reduce transmission by droplets produced in the sneezes and coughs of infected individuals. However, a large proportion of the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) appears to be occurring through airborne transmission of aerosols produced by asymptomatic individuals during breathing and speaking (1–3). Aerosols can accumulate, remain infectious in indoor air for hours, and be easily inhaled deep into the lungs. For society to resume, measures designed to reduce aerosol transmission must be implemented, including universal masking and regular, widespread testing to identify and isolate infected asymptomatic individuals.” […]
I am now a long way from my core competence, and I know nothing about the authors, Kimberley A. Prather, Chia C. Wang and Robert T. Schooley. I do, however, find the ideas above quite insidious. If none of the author's basic assumptions can be falsified, face-masks seems like a really good idea.

Coronan
har definitivt släppt sitt järngrepp om nyhetsflödet. Jag förstår att faran
inte är över, men frågar mig fortfarande om det är farligare nu än den 1 april,
eller 15 april. Nyckelfrågan borde vara relationen mellan
insjuknade/smittbärare respektive tillfrisknade. Om denna relation vet vi som
jag kan förstå intet.

Jag är
nu långt utanför eget kompetensområde, och jag vet ingenting om författarna, Kimberly
A. Prather, Chia C. Wang, Robert T. Schooley. Tankarna ovan är dock bestickande
och om man inte kan falsifiera några av grundpåståendena ovan verkar ansiktsmasker vara
en riktig bra idé.
