A feeling of relief spreads as the number of dead decreases. I do still, however, know that I have to be careful not to be infected.

Mouth covers - Continued

I cannot really let go of the idea of mouth covers. If the popular two-meter rule is that good, mouth covers ought to be good as well? Are not both theories founded on the idea of aerosol contamination? I do not know if the logic holds, but I cannot get rid of the idea.

I am still inclined to believe that psychology is the important factor. Concerning mouth covers, I can think of the following alternatives.

1. There are not enough mouth covers to go around, and the Government do not want to advertise the shortage.
2. The Government is worried about adherence. Breaking the two-meter rule could always be explained, but mouth covers are obvious.
3. Mouth covers call for some type of financing, private or public. The Government cannot find an answer to the question and therefore the mouth covers are buried.

The Test Quagmire

Along with a decreasing feeling of crisis, the interest in test seems to also decrease. The matter does, however, come up in various ways. Today, Tegnell said: "And then, especially in Stockholm, a lot of people are immune and then, the spread of the infection is decreasing drastically." I asked myself what evidence we have for the immunity in Stockholm. Have we carried out enough tests to know?

One could also observe that the Government and the Regions completely have left out ordinary people who wants a test to private interests. Myself, I hesitate on the last offered price, 950 krona. Had it been 500, we should have been all done.

 Latin America
It now seems like Latin America is the Corona center. I wonder if Latin America i quarantined. I have also been led to believe that Ecuador is the center for penicillin resistance.

Today's statistics says 4,403 dead (+8). A total of 37,814 are confirmed infected.

En känsla av lättnad sprider sig i takt med att dödstalen sjunker. Jag vet dock att det fortfarande gäller att inte ”åka dit”.

Munskydd – Fortsättning

Jag kan inte riktigt släppa tanken på munskydd. Om den populära tvåmetersregeln är bra så borde väl munskydd också vara bra? Båda teorierna bygger väl på aerosolspridning? Vet inte om logiken håller, men jag kan inte göra mig av med tanken.

Lutar fortfarande åt att psykologin är det viktiga. Rörande munskydden kan jag tänka mig följande alternativ:

1. Munskydden skulle aldrig räcka till alla, och regeringen vill inte skylta med bristen.

2. Regeringen är orolig för att människor inte skulle vara medgörliga. Tvåmetersregeln går alltid att snacka bort, men munskydd är tydliga.

3. Munskydd kräver någon form av finansiering, privat eller offentlig. Regeringen kan inte komma på hur det här skall lösas och tänker därför bort dem.

Testhärdsmältan

I takt med att krismedvetande minskar avtar också intresset för tester. Frågan anmäler sig dock på olika sätt. Tegnell sade idag: ”Och sedan, framför allt i Stockholm, är det så pass många som är immuna och då minskar virusspridningen ganska drastiskt.” (Telegram från TT/Omni/ 01 juni 2020, 14.02)

Jag frågar mig vad det finns för evidens för immuniteten i Stockholm. Har vi testat tillräckligt för att känna till läget?

Man kan också notera att regeringen och regionerna helt och hållet har utlämnat vanliga människor som vill ha ett test till privata intressenter. Själv tvekar jag lite grann över det senast erbjudna priset 950:-. Saken hade varit klar på 500:-.
