After almost three months, the motivation for blogging can vary. Today, however, it feels good to get rid of a few thoughts.

SKR
Yesterday, SKR (private organization for councils and regions) published a material according to which there is no crisis in Swedish elderly care, or that, at least, we are not worse off than our neighboring nations. The problem is that they are trying to sell a message that goes contrary to intuition.
I wonder if someone with a feeling for figures will have the energy to take a good look at their material.

A Corono Commission
Yesterday, there was also news of a Corona Commission. It will most likely not lack work. It could, however, also take a critical look at Swedish media during the crisis. Has media only been a megaphone for the authorities? Has there been any critical reviewing at all? Has it been too easy to cheat media? Have they bought anything that anyone with a professor's title says? There are a lot of questions.

  Media have been critical for getting information out, and a few questions on how they have managed could be called for. If the general picture of media does not turn out well, society ought to consider alternative ways of getting information out.

Least Smart Today 
The political parties have now concluded that Government needs to take a greater responsibility for building stock for crises. S, M, and MP [Social Democrats, Neoliberals? and Green) want to evaluate the ongoing crisis before they make up their mind on the matter of financing. (Louise Cassemar, Omni, Idag 05:58).

  One has to look at phrasing. I did not like the "take a greater". To me it sounds cowardly. If the "a greater" was omitted, I should have felt a lot more comfortable. One could also think that it has taken time to conclude the obvious.
  By delaying in the crucial matter of financing, S, M and MP, get the "least smart today" label.

WHO Psycology
WHO has placed Sweden in the same league as for example Kirgizistan, which is not much to Tegnell's liking. I wonder if WHO is harassing Sweden for not following their face mask recommendation.

Today's Statistics
Today's statistics says 5,280 dead (+50). A total number of 65,137 are confirmed infected.

Efter nästan tre månader kan bloggmotivationen variera. Idag känns det dock bra att få skriva av sig en del:

SKR

Igår gick SKR ut och förklarade att det inte finns någon kris i äldrevården, eller att det i alla fall inte är sämre än våra grannländer. Problemet är att de försöker sälja ett kontraintuitivt budskap. Jag undrar om någon med siffersinne kommer att orka ta sig en rejäl titt på SKR:s material.

Corona-kommission

Igår kom också nyheten om en Corona-kommission. Den kommer väl inte direkt att ha brist på arbetsuppgifter. Kommissionen skulle möjligen kunna passa på att betrakta massmedia under krisen. Har massmedia endast varit en megafon för myndigheterna? Har det förekommit någon kritisk granskning från medias sida? Har media varit för lättlurade? Faller man direkt för en professorstitel? Det finns många frågor.

   Media är helt centrala för att få ut information på bred front och lite frågor om deras aktiviteter är sannolikt på sin plats. Om helhetsbilden blir att media inte är bra så borde samhället fundera mer över hur man själv kan få ut information.

Minst smart idag

Partierna har nu kommit fram till det självklara, att staten måste ta ett större ansvar för att bygga upp beredskapslager. S, M och MP vill utvärdera den pågående krisen innan de tar ställning i finansieringsfrågan. (Louise Cassemar, Omini, Idag 05:38).  

   Man måste vara observant på formuleringar. Det jag inte gillade var ”ta ett större ansvar”, vilket låter som en fegisformulering. Om man hade uteslutit ”ett större” hade jag känt mig betydligt lugnare. Man kan också tycka att det har tagit tid att komma fram till det självklara.

   Genom att segdra den centrala finansieringsfrågan får S, M och MP dagens ”utmärkelse” för ”minst smart idag”.

WHO-psykologi

WHO har placerat Sverige i samma liga som till exempel Kirigizistan, vilket Tegnell uppenbarligen inte var helt nöjd med. Jag undrar om WHO trakasserar Sverige för att vi ignorerar deras munskyddsrekommendation.
