The Nagging Society
Text-TV tells us that security company people will be employed against students in Uppsala arranging parties. How efficient will that be?
The only way to solve the problem is to come up with a consequence which is worse than a boring Satuday evening. It is a matter of political agility, or lack thereof.
The Uppsala students reminded me of a journalist in some pink paper this spring. Obviously totally intoxicated by nationalistic fervour, she explained that the Swedes really knew what to do. I wonder if her estimation of the situation still stands.
Thrombus
I am still a bit irritated by the vaccine MD being ironic over average people and vaccine. (See Tuesdag 16 March)
It is almost remarkable to think that people uncritically will have something injected into the bodies, especially as several newspaper headlines give cause for consern.
To me, thrombus is the major problem. It sounds nasty, seems to call for rehabilitation and in worst case, one can die from it. This is of course a matter of presenting information that is understandable. I would for example want to know if blood preasure has to do with it. It would be comforting to be able to somehow eliminate oneself from the risk groups, in this context.
The information also needs to be good. Meaningless information like "it is not proven" (compare Popper) only increases the confusion. The Norwegian news that the Astra vaccine has caused three thrombuses does not feel good either. It seems obvious that the vaccine was involved, but what else?
Besides, it would be high time for Government to take the Astra vaccine. If all twenty-three of them are still standing in a week, I would feel reinforces.

Tjat- och gnatsamhället
Text-TV berättar att man skall sätta in väktare mot Uppsala studenter som anordnar fester. Hur effektivt blir det här?
Det enda sättet att lösa problemet är att införa en konsekvens av festandet, en konsekvens som är så otrevlig att den brädar att ha tråkigt en lördagskväll. Frågan handlar om politisk handlingskraft, eller brist därpå.
Studenternas agerande påminde mig om en journalist i någon rosa tidning i våras. Uppenbarligen helt fylld av nationalistisk yra förklarade hon hur bra svenskarna var, och att alla visste vad de skulle göra. Jag undrar om hennes bedömning kvarstår.
Blodpropp
Irriterar mig fortfarande över vaccinläkarens raljerande över vanliga människor och vaccin. (Se tisdagen den 16 mars).
Det är närmast märkligt att tro att människor okritiskt låter något injiceras i ens kropp, särskilt som många tidningsrubriker ger anledning till eftertanke.
För mig är blodpropp det stora problemet. Det låter otrevligt, verkar kräva rehabilitering och värsta fall dör man. Det här naturligtvis en fråga om att presentera begriplig information. Jag skulle till exempel vilja veta om blodtrycket har med saken att göra. Det skulle vara uppbyggligt att på något sätt kunna eliminera sig själv från riskgrupperna i sammanhanget.
Informationen behöver också var bra. Meningslös information som att "det är inte bevisat" (jmfr Popper) bara ökar osäkerheten. Inte heller den norska nyheten om att Astravaccinet helt klart orsakat tre blodproppar känns så bra. Det är väl klart att det var vaccinet, men vad mer?
För övrigt är det hög tid för regeringen att ta Astravaccinet. Om alla 23 står upp om en vecka skulle jag känna mig tryggare.
