CHANGE OF MIND

Today, it occurred to me how our thinking has changed in a little bit more than 350 days.

Face Masks

Not popular in the beginning, except for in health- and elderly care where they were assumed to work. Today they are recommended. 

Hand Desinfection

Very good from the beginning, now there are sincere doubts. 

Herd Immunity

Most interesting from the beginning. Today it equals crime against humanity. 

A Distance of Two Meters 

Highly interesting from the beginning, almost the ultimate solution. Today, the idea still seems good, but as the ultimate solution, it has lost some of its lustre. 

Tests

Not that interesting from the beginning, but seems to have gained in importance. 

Stay at Home if You Feel Anything

Highly important from the beginning, now testing seems to have added to the picture. 

Mathematical Models

Highly interesting from the beginning, now not taken quite seriously. 

Avoid Crowding

The only idea that seems to still stand strong is that crowds are to be avoided, this idea also has a strong foundation in common sense.

Idag slogs jag av hur inställningen till olika fenomen har förändrats över drygt 350 dagar:

Munskydd

Mycket tveksamt till att börja med, utom i sjuk- och äldrevård där de antogs göra nytta. Idag är de rekommenderade. 

Handsprit

Mycket bra till att börja med, idag verkar man tveka över hur mycket det hjälper. 

Flockimmunitet

Mycket intressant till att börja med, idag jämställt med brott mot mänskligheten. 

Två meters avstånd

Högintressant till att börja med, närmast undergörande. Idag verkar tanken fortfarande bra, men den kanske inte är så undergörande som man först trodde. 

Tester

Ljummet mottagande, men verkar ha vunnit i längden. 

Stanna hemma vid minsta symptom 

Ett måste från början, verkar ha kompletterats med testning. 

Matematiska modeller

Högintressanta från början, verkar nu bemötas med ett milt överseende. 

Undvik folksamlingar

Den enda tanken som verkar stå helt orubbad är att man skall undvika större folksamlingar, vilket också känns intuitivt rätt.
