I have been thinking about the statement.
Basic Mistake One
Of course, not everyone can be an expert, but everyone can be informed in a reasonable way. To get rid of the Astra-sceptics by authority only, I think is difficult, people are too much of thinkers for that. For example, the fact that only people 65 plus shall have the Astra-vaccine is difficult to understand.
The way I understand it, there are two different ways of making vaccine, and I can only see the differences vaguely. A debate would calm me down - which authoritarian barking does not.
Basic Mistake Two
Can we trust the FHM? There are two factors saying no. The way I have understood it, the FHM does not represent the sharp end of science, and how the collaboration with this sharp end is carried out stands out as unclear.
The second factor is that the FHM is subordinated to politics. Try to imagine the FHM saying something that Government does not like. Hardly. Suppose that the FHM says something that causes major problems for Government. Quite unbelievable.
The most important criteria when chosing the leadership of FHM is most likely loyalty to the state and the government. Medicine is the subordinated to politics.
The solution? One could separate medicine and politics by creating a Medical Board, abolishing the FHM. Of course, the politicians cannot name the members, then we are stuck again. The best way would be to let the the MDs elect the members thru their specialist associations. An MD-elected board could act without political interference.
Will this happen? Probably not as long as politics aim for maximum influence.

Grundfel ett
Självklart kan inte alla bli experter, men alla kan informeras på ett vettigt sätt. Att endast med auktoritet få bort Astra-skepsisen tror jag blir svårt, människor är alldeles för tänkande för det. Till exempel det faktum att endast människor över 65 skall få Astra är svårt att förstå. Som jag förstår det finns det två olika vaccinationsfilosofier, och skillnaderna mellan dem kan jag bara ana. En debatt skulle göra mig lugnare - vilket auktoritära tillrop inte gör.
Grundfel två
Kan vi lita på Folkhälsomyndigheten? Två faktorer talar emot. Som jag har förstått det representerar Folkhälsomyndighetens medarbetare inte forskningsfronten, och hur FHM samverkar med forskningsfronten framstår som oklart.
Den andra faktorn är att Folkhälsomyndigheten är underkastad politiken. Gör tankeexperimentet att Folkhälsomyndigheten säger något som regeringen inte gillar. Knappast. Antag att Folkhälsomyndigheten säger något som ställer till stora problem för regeringen. Ganska otroligt.
Det viktigaste kriteriet vid tillsättande av ledningen för Folkhälsomyndigheten är sannolikt lojalitet mot staten och regeringen. Medicinen är alltså underkastad politiken.
Lösning? Man skulle kunna separera medicin och politik genom att tillsätta ett Medicinalråd och lägga ned FHM. Politikerna får naturligtvis inte utse medlemmarna, då är det kört igen. Det bästa sättet vore att läkarna fick välja medlemmarna genom sina specialitetsföreningar . Ett läkarvalt Medicinalråd skulle kunna agera och uttala sig utan politisk övervakning.
Kommer detta att ske? Förmodligen inte så länge som politiken vill maximera sitt inflytande.
