Tegnell, the PM and Face Masks
Now WHO as well the Swedish Academy of Science and common sense talks in favour of face masks. Only Tegnell speaks against. If the spread of the disease dimished, it would be a lesser matter, but now it seems important.
In this situation, one could expect the PM to intervene and order Tegnell to recommend face masks, but this is not happening.
The question "why" is extremely frustrating. Asking someone why, the likelyhood of getting the truth is to say the least slim. The person asked will most likely provide an answer which sounds good, or which the person asking could be expected to accept.
Thus, in the matter of "why", one has to do some guess work, of course running the risk that one is wrong.
My hypothesis is as follows: The PM is possessed by the belief in authorities that I often meet among his fellow party members. Going against Tegnell is psycologically impossible for him, despite reason saying that he should.
If I am right, the present PM is simply not fit for leading the nation right now. Too bad, since I can sympathize with the PM on many other levels.
Tegnell, Löfvén och munskydden
Nu talar såväl WHO som Vetenskapsakademien och sunt förnuft för munskydd. Tegnell talar emot. Om smittan gick tillbaka vore det en sak, men nu ökar den och frågan känns viktig.
I det här läget kunde man förvänta sig att Löfvén skulle inskrida och ge Tegnell order om att rekommendera munskydd, men det händer inte.
Frågan "varför" är extremt frustrerande. När man frågar någon om varför är sannolikheten för att man får höra sanningen tämligen liten. Personen kommer att ge ett svar som låter bra, eller som frågeställaren kan förväntas acceptera. I "varförfrågan" måste man alltså spekulera lite, naturligtvis med risk för att ha fel.
Min hypotes är följande. Löfvén är besatt av den auktoritetstro som jag ofta möter bland hans partivänner. Att gå emot Tegnell är psykologiskt omöjligt för honom, trots att alla rimliga tankar och mycket evidens talar för att han borde göra det.
Om jag har rätt är Löfvén helt enkelt inte någon lämplig ledare för landet i nuläget. Trist, på många andra nivåer kan jag sympatisera med Löfvén.
