I wondered why the Netherlands was not on the Top-20 vaccination list. Today, Text-TV says that IT-problems are part of the picture.
With sufficient amounts of incompetence, IT matters can be complicated and take long time, and vice versa.
My limited, but existing, experience of IT tells me that it should take less than an afternoon to create the IT support needed to follow up on vaccinations. The booking is a different matter. That could take several days, starting from scratch. If nothing else, I got the impression that doktor.se [private Swedish company handling test in a way that impressed most people] has a near perfect booking system. Maybe that could be used.
Right now, I am a bit worried that the Swedish regions will follow the Dutch example and make a mess of the IT part of vaccinations.

Jag undrade varför Nederländerna inte låg på topp 20 i vaccinationslistan. Text-TV berättar idag att IT-problem fanns med i bilden.
Med tillräckliga mängder inkompetens kan IT-frågor bli svåra och ta tid, och tvärt om.
Min begränsade, men befintliga, erfarenhet av IT-frågor säger mig att det skulle ta mindre än eftermiddag för att ordna det IT-stöd som i första hand behövs för att följa upp vaccinationsverksamheten. Bokningsverksamheten är jag mindre säker på, det kanske skulle ta flera dagar från "scratch". Om inte annat fick jag intryck av att doktor.se har ett perfekt bokningssystem, vilket kanske kunde anlitas.
Jag är nu lite orolig för att de svenska regionerna följer det nederländska exemplet och har skapat IT-härdsmältor kring vaccinationerna.
